For Individuals and Families

LIVING AUTISM FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH AUTISM AND THEIR FAMILIES

This site is dedicated to serving you!

We know how difficult it can be to find the right support for individuals with autism or even basic information about the condition. Living Autism is committed to providing more choice and a more personalised approach to everyone affected by autism.

So why should you make Living Autism your ‘Autism home page’?

It’s Free!

Living Autism will never charge you to access any of the resources, discussions or databases. We don’t even charge you for helping you look for appropriate services.

Our income comes from the fees we charge providers to be quality reviewed by us and from our provider placement fees.

Greater choice and full support in finding the appropriate services

We will do our best to help you find the most appropriate placement or service to meet your needs and aspirations. We provide more in-depth profiles of our network members than any other service directory. We can also offer you a personalised service to assist in navigating the system.

Of course we can’t promise that our members can meet all the needs of every user, but at least we can tell you what is available.

People

We are real people, with a passion for autism

Our management team has a combined experience of over 75 years in the provision of services to individuals with autism and are committed to improving the quality and scope of support available to individuals with autistic spectrum conditions in the UK.

We are listening; if you have a question that our site does not address we will endeavour to find the answer for you. You can email us, ring us or post a question on our home page.

It’s comprehensive

There are lots of websites that provide very helpful advice on many aspects of autism. Living Autism is the only independent service not affiliated to any service providers that provides resources, directories and a comprehensive list of service providers, all in one place. And remember, you can always contact us if you don’t find what you are looking for.

Family

Who supports support groups?

We believe the best advice is from people who have faced the same challenges as you. At Living Autism we are committed to supporting peer to peer networks. We have a dedicated support group area if you are looking for a support group. If you are already a member of a group and your network is not listed please add your support group. You can also add any events you have coming up.

Alternatively, why not post a question and join the discussion?

UC

Let us do the work for you

Living Autism screens all its members to ensure that they are able to provide the service they promise. All residential facilities are personally visited by one of our team before it receives the ‘Living Autism’ membership ‘tick’ and review report on their profile. And because we are independent, you can be sure that we only give our honest and impartial opinion. For services such as therapists or employment consultants we check their documentation, references and qualifications — so you don’t have to!
