A test used to establish the cognitive abilities of adults.
Welch method
A holding therapy based on enforced holding of the individual by the therapist until the individual stops resisting or until a certain period of time has elapsed.
West’s syndrome
A condition which appears in infants between 3 and 8 months of age and is characterised by spasms.
Wilbarger technique
A therapy based on brushing of the skin with an element of firm pressure using a surgical brush.
Williams syndrome
A condition caused by abnormality of the chromosomes and can cause learning disabilities.
